A DIGITAL THREAT: CYBERBULLYING ( INFOGRAPHIC)
Recently, our Instructional Technologies and Material Design in English Language teacher Mustafa Polat showed us some useful tools for using technology for teaching. One of these tools was a great way of informing people about a topic named "Infographic". After introducing Infographics, he wanted us to choose one of the several topics about ethical and legal issues in technology use. As a future teacher, ı am terrified of the issue of cyberbullying. After spending years on social media, game platforms, and messaging apps, my experiences show that cyberbullying is a serious subject. people feel depressed, become asocial, and create anger among the people they did not meet in person. After mentioning these circumstances, i believe the topic that i chose is quite obvious.
Designing an infographic about cyberbullying was both fun and challenging for me. Since it was the first time that i used an infographic, i started to search for a website where i could create an infographic. After a quick surf on the internet, i found the site Pinkchart. I opened a new account on Pinkchart and looked for some infographics other people created. After seeing other people's creativity, i opened a blank infographic page and started to add some notes via the information on my research about cyberbullying. The challenging part was the designing part. Adding 3D animations, illustrations, and using other design features was quite challenging because it was my first time experiencing infographics. After finishing the infographic, which can be visited by pressing here, or scrolling below, the satisfaction of Producing an instructive work with great visuals was actually great.
I hope this writing can be helpful for those who want to share information with infographics.
