ABOUT ME
Hello everyone! I'm Emirhan Korkmaz and this is my blog named "TEACHER OF THE YEAR". As you can imagine, i created this blog to share my thoughts and research about English Language Teaching (ELT). Who is Emirhan? What does he do? and other questions will be answered below...
To start an introduction, we all should head back to 25 of May 2003. My birthday! Yes, i am a Gemini, the zodiac sign, hated by almost everybody for some reasons including instability and other things. As a person who doesn't understand zodiac signs at all, i will use my right to be silenced against them. I have a sister named Sevda and she is about 7 years older than me. My hobbies include reading about history, politics, and comic books (we all love Batman don't we?), walking near the sea, trying new things like desserts and drinks, and socializing with new people. Apart from that, i was born in Manisa/Gördes and graduated from my first and second schools there. After graduation, my family decided to send me to Demirci (another city in Manisa, which is well-known for carpet weaving and... their nice tasted quinces ı guess?) because that city was the only option for me if i wanted to go to a science high school. After spending 2 years in Demirci, i realized the inner English love inside me and decided to study for the YDT ( Foreign Language Test) for the university exams. To make that happen, i moved to Manisa and changed my school. After studying for 2 years, i got into the translation and interpreting department at Marmara University in 2021. At the end of the first year, i started to give private English lessons to young learners for some economic reasons. After having the experience of being an English teacher, i decided to become one. Next year, i transferred to the English Language Teaching department at Marmara University. This is my second year in this department and i believe i made a good decision. After writing these sentences about my education, I realized that people could be right about Gemini's instability.
This is all about me. Thanks for reading...
